Sonrise Choir leads worship in our 8:30 a.m. service. We sing a variety of contemporary Christian music including Contemporary Gospel. This group has been leading worship at 8:30 for nearly 20 years, and we continue to learn and grow in service to the church. As well as faithful singers, Sonrise Choir also includes talented musicians who have played a variety of instruments, These instruments have included an acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass guitar, drums, mandolin, keyboard, piano, bongo drums, flute, clarinet, tambourine and many others.
The Chancel Choir leads worship in the 11:00 a.m. service. We sing everything from hymn arrangements to Bach in order to give God his glory. The Chancel Choir has almost been in existence as long as St. Stephen’s has and continues to be an integral part of the Traditional worship service at our church. Andreea Mut (playing the pipe organ or grand piano) accompanies the Chancel Choir. On occasion, other musicians have contributed their talent alongside the choir by playing the violin, clarinet, cello and flute.
The handbell choir is a small but powerful group of ringers playing the church’s favorite hymns once a month.
Each Sunday morning, our children sing together in Sunday school. Starting this fall, we will begin having children’s choir on Wednesday evenings while the adults have a bible study with Pastor Nathan! Be on the lookout for more information in the coming weeks.
