Weekly Poem:

Funny Clown

Funny Clown with big red nose
Holds a water squirting rose
Baggy pants and floppy shoes
Makes you laugh away your blues.

Painted face with great big smile
Makes you happy all the while.
Dancing, tumbling, falling down,
Oh what fun to watch the clown!

Squiggly Worm

A squiggly, wiggly little worm
That lives down in the dirt,
It has no feet so wears no shoes
And doesn’t own a shirt.

It really is quite helpful
Though never makes a sound,
It’s funny squiggly movements
Loosen up the ground.

It seems that it is just content
To wiggle and to squirm,
As long as no one catches it
It’s such a happy worm.

Weekly Poem:

Toothache

I wish I had listened when Mom said, “Brush.”
But I was too busy – rush, rush, rush.
Now to the dentist I must go
And my fear I’ll hide so it won’t show.

I enter the office and sit a while
Receptionist says, “Your turn” with a smile.
I stand up bravely my turn to take
Inside I begin to shiver and shake.

To my surprise the dentist is kind
Now that I’m here, I really don’t mind.
The pain is all gone that I felt before
Because now my tooth isn’t there anymore!

Isn’t it Odd?

Shoes have tongues
Yet cannot talk;
Chairs have legs
But do not walk.

Clocks have hands
But cannot wave;
Cats grow whiskers
But do not shave.

Combs have teeth
Yet cannot chew.
I’m confused,
Aren’t you?
